Stereo Lithography Appearance (SLA) is a kind of industrial 3D printing craft which is used to create the conceptual models, appearance prototypes and complex parts in one day, with complex geometric figure. It is possible for SLA to select the wide materials with very high feature resolution, and high quality surface treatment.

How does SLA work?

The SLA machine begins to draw the layers of the support structure, then comes to the part, and aligns the UV laser at the surface of the liquid resin. After imaging a layer on the surface of the resin, the build platform  moves down and the redirection rod moves on the platform to apply the next layer of resin. This process is repeated layer by layer until the construction is complete.

The newly-manufactured parts are taken out of the machine, enter the laboratory, and remove any additional resin with the solvent in the laboratory. The support structure is removed manually when the part is completely cleaned. From there, the parts conduct the curing circulation through the ultraviolet ray to completely cure the outer surface of the parts. The final step in the SLA process is any user-defined or customer-specified completed application. The parts made in SLA should be used with minimal exposure to UV and humidity. In this way, they will not degenerate.
